Terms & Conditions 
 

1. Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order for the Winter Gear Holding & Delivery Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the service details and conditions published on the eBackHome website.
 

2. Service Scope

This service provides seasonal or short-term holding, handling, and delivery coordination for ski equipment, snowboards, and related winter gear within Japan through facilities and logistics partners designated by eBackHome.
 

3. Eligible Equipment

Only the following items are accepted under this service:

  • Ski equipment (skis, boots, poles, helmet)

  • Snowboard equipment (board, bindings, boots, helmet)

  • Related winter sports gear
     

Other items may be refused at our discretion.
 

4. Prohibited Items

The following items must not be included in gear bags or shipments:

  • Food or perishable goods

  • Hazardous or flammable materials

  • Compressed gas or pressurized items

  • Illegal items under Japanese law

  • Any item restricted by transportation regulations
     

If prohibited items are discovered, additional handling fees may apply and the items may be removed or disposed of.
 

5. Packaging Responsibility

All equipment must be properly packed inside a gear bag or protective cover before being handed over.
eBackHome and its designated facility shall not be responsible for damage caused by insufficient or improper packaging.
 

6. Weight and Size Limits

Each gear bag must not exceed:

  • 25 kg per bag

  • Total dimensions of 200 cm
     

Items exceeding these limits may incur additional handling charges.
 

7. Additional Items in Gear Bags

Any additional items placed inside the gear bag must be declared in advance.
Undeclared items may incur additional handling charges.
 

8. Inspection Rights

For safety and operational purposes, eBackHome and its logistics partners reserve the right to inspect gear bags or equipment when necessary.
 

9. Clothing Inside Gear Bags

Clothing may be included inside gear bags. However, this is done at the owner’s risk.
eBackHome shall not be responsible for issues such as mold, odor, moisture damage, or natural deterioration.
 

10. Delivery Scheduling

Delivery and pickup services are arranged based on the notice periods stated on the website.

During peak ski season, shortened notice periods may result in rush handling fees or limited delivery availability.
 

11. Membership Plans

Annual membership plans include seasonal pickup, delivery services, and year-round gear holding benefits as described on the service webpage.

Membership benefits apply only to the registered member and declared equipment.
 

12. Membership Renewal

Memberships automatically renew annually unless cancelled.

A 14-day grace period applies after the membership term ends.

During this period:

  • Members may renew their membership if they wish to continue the service.

  • If they do not wish to continue, they must cancel the membership within the grace period.
     

13. Disposal Policy

If no renewal, cancellation, or payment is received after the grace period, and we are unable to contact the member, the items may be disposed of one month after the grace period ends.
 

14. Insurance Coverage

The service carries limited insurance coverage of up to USD 1,000 per member.

Any compensation, if applicable, will be calculated based on the original documented value of the equipment, subject to depreciation.
 

15. Handling Responsibility

While reasonable care will be taken in handling equipment at the designated facility and during transportation, eBackHome and its partners shall not be responsible for normal wear and tear, aging, manufacturer defects, or cosmetic damage resulting from regular use.
 

16. Force Majeure

eBackHome shall not be held liable for damage, delay, or loss caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters

  • Severe weather conditions

  • Transportation disruptions

  • Fire, theft, or other unforeseen events.
     

17. Service Fees

All service fees, optional services, and handling charges are published on the eBackHome website.
By placing an order, you confirm that you have reviewed and accepted the applicable fees.
 

18. Non-Refundable Policy

Once the service has commenced (including pickup, handling, or delivery arrangement), all payments are non-refundable.
 

19. Third-Party Use

Members may lend their equipment to a third party within Japan only with prior notice.
A handling coordination fee may apply, and the member remains fully responsible for the equipment.
 

20. Agreement

By using this service, you acknowledge and agree to all the terms and conditions stated above.
